Verify Using Google Tag Assistant

Overview

Verifying consent settings is crucial for ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and maintaining user trust. Follow this guide to learn how to use Google Tag Assistant to confirm that PieEye Consent Mode is properly integrated with your website.

By understanding how consent preferences are mapped to different cookie categories, website owners can effectively manage user data collection while respecting individual privacy choices. This process not only helps in tracking conversions accurately but also aligns with best practices for user consent management.

The Consent Mode, when integrated with Google Tag Manager (GTM) or the global site tag, enables website owners to configure tag behavior based on user consent preferences for each consent type. This approach ensures that websites can effectively track and measure conversions while respecting user privacy. For example, if a user denies consent for analytics cookies, the website will adapt its tracking behavior to comply with this choice, sending aggregated data rather than individual user-level data.
