How to Confirm Action/Category Events and UET Tags in Microsoft Advertising (Bing)

Follow this guide to learn how to confirm Action/Category events in the Microsoft Advertising destination within Elevar and your UET Tags.
What are UET Tags?
Universal Event Tracking (UET) is a feature in Microsoft Advertising that allows you to monitor customer actions on your website after they click on your ad. By setting up a single UET tag across your site, Microsoft Advertising collects data that enables you to track conversion goals and build remarketing lists.
How to confirm Action/Category Conversions in Destination and UET Tags
Access Microsoft Advertising Destination:
- On the homepage of your Elevar Account, use the left-hand menu to click on the "My Tracking" tab.
- Once in "My Tracking" section, navigate to your destinations and select the "Microsoft Advertising" destination.
View Events:
- Once in the Microsoft Advertising destination, navigate to the "Setup Steps" box. Click the step titled "Events".
- Once in the Events step, locate and click on the "Breakdown" drop-down menu.
- Here you will find the custom values or action/category that you are passing. These will appear as "Events" in Microsoft Advertising.

Locate UET Tag Events:
- Begin on your Microsoft Advertising homepage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "Conversions" tab. An additional left-hand navigation menu will appear, locate and click on the "UET Tag" tab.
- Navigate to the section of the page titled "All Tags" and select the UET Tag that you are using for account comparison.
- Once in the specific UET Tag, locate the section of the page titled "Events". Here you will find all of the Action/Category data that is automatically being send to Microsoft Advertising from Elevar.
