How to Implement Shopify Markets in a Live Destination
Learn how to implement Shopify Markets in a destination
Overview
Follow this general guide to learn how to setting up Shopify Markets in a live destination. Within each destination, you have the option to send data from either all markets or specify which market's data should be sent. This allows for broad or targeted market management based on your needs.
For individual guides for each destination, follow the integration guides for each specific destination.

How to Implement All Shopify Markets in a Live Destination
Existing destinations will default to this setting when first enabling Shopify Markets, as well as any newly added destination. You will want to use the All Markets options when all website traffic should map to this pixel. Also includes offline or recurring subscription orders depending on your filters for server-side events.
Access Destination:
- Begin on the Elevar homepage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "My Tracking" tab.
- Navigate to the section of the page titled "Destinations" and click on the destination that you would like to implement Shopify Markets to.

Enable Markets:
- Once in the desired destination, navigate to the box titled "Setup Steps" and click on the destination's "Settings" tab.
- Once in the destination's settings, navigate to the section of the page titled "Markets".
- Click on the button labeled "All markets" to specify that all market's data will be sent to this destination.

Add Destination Label:
- Navigate to the section of the page titled "Destination Label" and use the text box to enter a label.
- This is how your destination name will appear across the Elevar app (e.g., My Tracking, Reports, History) and helps to identify your destination across our app, especially when you have multiple instances of the same destination.

Save Changes:
- After entering the required information for adding Shopify Markets to a live destination, click on the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page.
- An additional confirmation window will appear titled "Are you sure?". After reading the information, click on the "Yes, Save Changes" button located in the lower right-hand corner of the window.

Web Container Setup:
- After updating the destinations settings to enable Shopify Markets, you need to update the web container to ensure you have the correct web tracking after making changes.
- First, select the button labeled "Download Pre-Built Web Tags".
- Once downloaded, import the container into your Google Tag Manager web container.
- After importing the container into Google Tag Manager, publish the new tags.

How to Implement Specific Shopify Markets in a Live Destination
You will want to use Specific Markets when you want to split website and server-side traffic to different pixels based on your market groups. When you have opted to include offline or recurring subscriptions via your destination's transaction filtering, you'll need to select No Market ID for these events to be sent.
Access Destination:
- Begin on the Elevar homepage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "My Tracking" tab.
- Navigate to the section of the page titled "Destinations" and click on the destination that you would like to implement Shopify Markets to.

Enable Markets:
- Once in the desired destination, navigate to the box titled "Setup Steps" and click on the destination's "Settings" tab.

- Click on the button labeled "Specific market(s)" to specify that specific market's data will be sent to this destination.

Add Market Groups and Destination Label:
- Navigate to the section of the page titled "Market Groups" and use the drop down menu to select the market groups to specify which market's data will be sent to this destination.
