Google Ads Error Messages in Channel Accuracy

Overview

Read this guide to understand common error messages related to Google Ads in your Channel Accuracy report or Server Events Log.

Why Am I Seeing Google Ads Errors in Channel Accuracy?

There are a few common reasons you might see Google Ads-related error messages:

Conversion Action Created Recently:

  • If the conversion action was created less than 6 hours ago, Google won’t accept imported conversions yet. Errors during this window are expected and should resolve automatically once the 6-hour threshold passes.

Elevar Not Added as a User in Google Ads:

  • Google requires that the party sending server-side data (Elevar) has access to the destination Google Ads account. Ensure Elevar has been added as a user in your Google Ads account.

Multiple Google Ads Accounts Sending Traffic

  • If more than one Google Ads account is driving traffic to your site (for example, through an agency), conflicts may happen. When Elevar sends a conversion with a click ID from one account, but your Google Ads account isn't the source of that click ID, Google will reject the conversion.
  • Solution: Set up a Shared Conversion Action across both Google Ads accounts and ensure Elevar only has access to the MCC (Manager Account).
