Overview

Follow this guide to learn some of the reasons why your Google Tag Manager is not firing and how to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Is your Elevar App Theme Embed enabled?

App Theme Embed in Shopify:

• Begin on your Shopify homepage.
  • Using the side menu, ensure that you are under the tab labeled "Online Store" and click on the "Themes" tab.
  • Locate and click on the "Customize" button

• Once in the Customize settings, use the side menu and click on the "App Embeds" tab.
  • Use the search feature and locate the Elevar App Embed.
  • Use the toggle to enable Elevar.
• After making the desired changes, be sure to click on the "Save" button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

2. Do you have custom product template names?

Accessing Custom Product Template:

• Begin on your Shopify hompeage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "Online Store" tab. Then, from the drop-down menu, click on the "Theme" tab.
  • Locate and click on the three dots located next to your current theme. Using the drop-down menu, click on the "Edit Code" tab.
  • Click on the "Templates" tab.

• If you have anything besides "product.liquid", then you need to add these snippets as an "or" condition in our "elevar-body-end.liquid" snippet
