How to Handle Consent When its not Provided for Strict Consent Mode
Overview
Once you have enabled Strict Consent Mode, it is important that you review how consent handles data when we don't receive a visitor's consent choices. For example, this can happen due to ad blockers, offline orders, recurring subscriptions, etc. (this does not apply to GTM).
How to Handle Consent When its not Provided for Strict Consent Mode
Access Source:
- Begin on the Elevar home page and use the left-hand navigational menu to click on the "My Tracking" tab.
- Navigate to the list of sources and click on the "Shopify" or "API" source box.

Access Consent Settings:
- Once in the source, use the navigational box to click on the "Consent" tab.
- Ensure that you have Strict Consent Mode enabled in your source. Follow tihs guide to learn how to enable Strict Consent Mode.

Review How to Handle Consent When its not Provided:
- Once you have accessed your consent settings, naigate to the section of the page titled "What should we do when we dont receive a visitor's consent choices?". Review your settings to ensure that they align.
- Once you have reviewed your choices, be sure to click on the "Save" located at the bottom of the section.
