Follow this guide to learn how to locate your Facebook Dataset ID. This is required when setting up your Google Tag Manager tag tracking.
Understanding the Facebook Dataset ID:
A Facebook Dataset ID is a unique identifier used in Meta Events Manager to unify event data from your website, app, offline, and messaging sources. It replaces separate IDs like Pixel ID, allowing you to manage all tracking under one ID.

How to Locate your Facebook Dataset ID
Access Data Sources:
- Login into <a href"business.facebook.com/events_manager2/" target="_blank">Facebook Business Manager account.
- Begin on the homepage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "Data Sources" tab.

Navigate to Store Settings:
- Once in your Data Sources, use the search function to locate the desired store.
- Within the box titled with your store name, use the top navigation menu to locate and click on the "Settings' tab.

Locate Dataset ID:
- Once in your store settings, locate the section of the page titled "Dataset ID".
- If you find you are seeing Pixel ID rather than Dataset ID, both are compatible with our tracking.
