Overview

Follow this guide to learn how to disable the Google Analytics 4 Shopify Integration. If you are launching Google Analytics 4 tracking via Google Tag Manger and Elevar, then you must disable Google Analytics 4 tracking within Shopify.

How to Disable GA4 Shopify Integration

Access Google Settings:

• Begin on your Shopify homepage and use the left-hand navigation menu to click on the "Sales Channels" tab.
• Use the search function to locate and click on the "Google and Youtube" app.

Access Google Tag Settings:

• Once in the Google sales channel, either use the additional left-hand drop-down navigation menu to click on the "Settings" tab or use the top navigation menu to click on the "Settings" tab.

Disconnect Google Analytics:

• Once in the Google sales channel settings, navigate to your list of connected Google services.
• Locate your Google Analytics connection and click on the "Disconnect" button.

Confirm:

• An additional pop-up window will appear titled "Disconnect Google Analytics?".
• Click on the "Disconnect" button located in the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
