How to Enable the Subscription Purchase Event

Overview

Follow this guide to learn how to enable the Subscription Purchase Event in a destination.

Understanding the Subscription Purchase Event:

The Subscription Purchase Event is triggered when a shopper completes their first-time subscription order through a unified Shopify Checkout.

To ensure this event is recorded, the following conditions must be met:

  • The purchase must include a product with a selling plan name or be tagged as "Subscription First Order" or "Ordergroove Trigger Order" before order creation.
  • The corresponding purchase event must be enabled.

How to Enable the Subscription Purchase Event

Access Destination:

  • Begin on your Elevar homepage and use the left-hand menu to click on the "My Tracking" tab.
  • Once in My Tracking, locate and click on the desired destination card.

Enable Subscription Purchase Event

  • Once in the desired destination, use the "Setup Step" box and click on the "Events" tab.
    • Locate and click on the "Customize settings" button. Then, navigate to the section titled "Breakdown" and use the drop-down to expand the customizable events.
    • Use the check box to enable the "Subscription Purchase" event.
    • Once you have entered the required information, click on the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page.
