How to Measure the Before and After Performance in Microsoft Ads

Follow this guide to learn how to measure the before and after performance in Microsoft Advertising (Bing) to see the value of joining Elevar!

Prerequisites:

  • Ensure that you have installed the Microsoft Advertising (Bing) destination in Elevar. Follow this guide to learn how to set up the Microsoft Advertising destination.
  • Ensure that you have created conversion goals in Microsoft Advertising (Bing). Follow this guide to learn how to create conversion goals.
  • Confirm that the Action/Category events in your Microsoft Advertising destination within Elevar and your UET Tags match. Follow this guide to learn how to confirm the Action/Category Events match your UET Tags.

How to Compare and Measure the Before and After Performance in Microsoft Advertising

Locate Conversion Goals:

  • Begin on your Microsoft Advertising homepage and navigate to the Conversion Goals settings. Follow this guide for step by step instructions on how locate this page within your Microsoft Advertising account.

Select Prior Date for Analysis:

  • Once on the Conversion Goals page of your Microsoft Advertising account, locate and click on the date range in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
    • A calendar selection window will appear, locate and select a single date on the calendar. Ensure that you select a date that is prior to going live with Elevar.
    • Once you have selected a date to analyze, click on the "Apply" button in the lower right-hand corner of the calendar window.

View Data Results:

  • Once you have selected a date, you will be able to see the conversion data from your goals prior to going live with Elevar.

Select Date for Analysis:

  • Once on the Conversion Goals page of your Microsoft Advertising account, locate and click on the date range in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

    • Once you have selected a date to analyze, click on the "Apply" button in the lower right-hand corner of the calendar window.

View Data Results:

  • Once you have selected a date, you will be able to see the conversion data from your goals after to going live with Elevar.

Comparing Conversions and Analyzing Results

Once you have accessed the conversion data from before and after going live with Elevar, you can compare these datasets to evaluate the impact of Elevar on your advertising performance. You can analyze metrics such as browser and server-side conversions to determine their effectiveness by viewing whether full conversions are being captured and whether browser or server-side conversions perform better.
