How to Manage Reoccurring Orders

Learn how to manage reoccurring orders on a legacy checkout and how to block reoccurring orders on a unified checkout

Overview

Learn how to manage reoccurring order depending on whether or not you use unified Shopify Checkout or a legacy checkout.


Using Unified Shopify Checkout

Access Subscription Settings:

  • Begin on the Elevar homepage and use the left-hand menu to navigate to the "My Tracking" tab. Then, click on the desired destination.
  • Once inside of the desired destination, use the "Setup Steps" box and navigate to the "Subscriptions" tab.

Select Unified Shopify Checkout:

  • Once in the subscription settings for your destination, navigate to the section of the page titled "Do you sell subscription products?" and click on the "Yes, using unified Shopify checkout" button.

Recurring Orders:

  • After selecting that you use a unified Shopify checkout, you will need to choose whether or not to send recurring orders.
    • Navigate to the section of the page titled "Would you like to send recurring orders?" and either click on the "Yes, send" or the "No, block" button.
  • After selecting the required information regarding recurring orders, click on the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page.

Using Legacy Checkout

Access Subscription Settings:

  • Begin on the Elevar homepage and use the left-hand menu to navigate to the "My Tracking" tab. Then, click on the desired destination.
  • Once inside of the desired destination, use the "Setup Steps" box and navigate to the "Subscriptions" tab.

Select Legacy Checkout:

  • Once in the subscription settings for your destination, navigate to the section of the page titled "Do you sell subscription products?" and click on the "Yes, using separate checkout" button.

Recurring Orders:

  • After selecting that you use a seperate checkout, you will need to choose whether or not to send recurring orders.
    • First, navigate to the section of the page titled "What Shopify Subscription app do you use?" and select the "ReCharge / OrderGroove" button.
    • Next, nagivate to the section of the page titled "Would you like to send first-time orders?" and select either the "Yes, send" button or the "No, block" button. If you would like to send first-time orders, then all orders with "Subscription First Order" order tag will be sent to this destination.
    • Then, navigate to the section of the page titled "Would you like to send recurring orders?" and select either the "Yes, send" or "No, block" button. If you would like to send recurring orders, then all recurring transactions will be sent with an action source of "System Generated".
  • After selecting the required information regarding recurring orders, click on the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page.
