Overview

This is a step by step guide for locating your Universal Analytics property ID or also known as Tracking ID. Having access and being able to locate your Universal Analytics ID is often a principal step in importing tags into Google Tag Manager, along with many other implementation features.

1. Click on Admin Settings
2. Click on Property Settings
3. Locate Property ID

How to Locate UA Property ID

Click on Admin Settings:

• Begin on your Universal Analytics homepage.
• Locate and click on the "Admin" or gear icon in the lower left-hand corner of the homepage.

Click on Property Settings

• Once in your admin settings, you will see several drop-down menus with individual settings.
• Locate and click on the "Property Settings" tab that is found under the "Property" menu manager.

Locate Property ID:

• Once in your property settings, navigate to the "Basic Settings" section of this page.
• Under the "Basic Settings" section, find the subheading titled, "Tracking ID".
  • The number provided under the title, "Tracking ID" is your Universal Analytics Property ID.
