How to Locate Piwik Site or App ID
Overview
Follow this guide to learn how to locate your Piwik site or app ID. Every site or app with Piwik has its own ID which may be necessary to connect and transfer data for integrations.
Necessary Permission:
In order to access and locate your Piwik site or app ID, you will need to have either account owner, manage, edit & publish, edit or view permissions to the Piwik account.

What is PIWIK?
Piwik is a privacy-focused analytics application designed for marketers and analysts and offer a range of tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Piwik uses an embedded tracking code to gather visitor data, which is then organized into detailed reports.

How to Locate Piwik Site or App ID
Access Piwik Administration Settings:
- Begin on your Piwik homepage. Locate and click on the "Menu" button located in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
- An additional drop-down menu will appear, click on the "Administration" tab.

Locate Site:
- Once you have access the Administration settings, use the top navigation menu and click on the "Sites & apps" tab.
- On the left-hand side of the page you will see a list of your apps or site. Locate and click on the desired site or app.

Locate Site or App ID:
- Once you have accessed the desired site or app settings, navigate to the top section of the page where the name of your site or app is listed.
- Locate the section of the page titled "ID:" and here you will find your Piwik site or app ID.
