This release contains new server-side betas for AWIN, Rakuten, Taboola. Enhancements to our server infrastructure, session enrichment, server events logs, and our event builder Chrome extension. Destination updates to remove Criteo, newly added custom dimensions for Universal Google Analytics (UA), removal of depreciated Shopify value references, and adding subscription configuration to all destinations.

New Server-Side Betas

Enhancements

  • Improvements to Elevar server's infrastructure
  • Elevar employees can disable the Session Enrichment feature
  • Server Events Log: Error Codes & Error Messages are displayed by default. Referrer data also available.
  • Funnelytics tag type removed from Elevar's Event Builder Chrome Extension

Destinations

  • Criteo: This destination is now hidden in your Elevar app.
    • If you have existing Criteo server-side tracking setup, this will continue to work normally.
    • The Criteo destination will be hidden in your Conversion Accuracy report, but will be accessible in your Server Events Log.
    • Why? Server-Side tracking doesn't work with DPA ads. Our goal is to help you send the most accurate data to Criteo. With Criteo's current functionality, our recommendation is to use the native Criteo/Shopify app for data tracking. If this app doesn't work (e.g. your website is headless), then we recommend using our client-side pre-built Criteo tags.
  • UA Custom Dimensions - You can now send the following as custom dimensions to Universal Analytics: Order Name, Shipping Method, Sales Channel, Billing Zipcode, Billing Province, Billing Country, Billing City, Shipping Zipcode, Shipping Province, Shipping Country, Shipping City, & Payment Method.
  • Removed references to Shopify's deprecated variables: Customer Total Spent, Customer Total Orders, & New vs Returning User.
  • Every destination has a Subscription Step
