Datalayer

Facebook Browser-Side Event Enhancements:

  • The previous enhancement for Facebook, which increases the number of browser-side events passing a Facebook cookie value to improve performance and EMQ scores, is now consent-aware. Cookies will only be generated if consent is accepted in setups with consent enabled.

Omnisend Email Form Submissions:

  • Omnisend email form submissions now trigger the subscribe event, which works with the destination's email sign-up event and captures data into session enrichment.

Bug Fix: Cart Reconciliation:

  • When cart reconciliation was enabled and triggered events with thumbnail images, those images appeared blurry in email service providers. This has been resolved, and full-size image URLs are now passed as expected.

Destinations

New Beta Releases:

  • CJ Affiliate: CJ Affiliate is no longer in beta and is now an approved destination! [How to Set Up]
  • RTB House: RTB House is now in private beta! Please let us know here if you'd like to be a beta tester. [Elevar's Fully Managed Server Only]

Facebook/Meta Updates:

  • Go Live Modal: The Facebook/Meta Go Live modal now includes a recommendation to take a screenshot of current match quality scores for comparison before and after launch.
  • Checkout & Purchase Events: Facebook/Meta server-side checkout and purchase events now include additional parameters: content_name and content_category.

Google Ads:

Updated to the latest version of the Google Ads conversion API.

Awin:

  • Awin's server-side purchase event now includes additional parameters for Product Category and Shipping Country.

Impact Radius:

  • The customer email hashing method has been updated per documentation.

Postscript:

  • Cart URL is now available in all server-side events when using the custom pixel.

Custom Pixel Events:

  • Server-side checkout events originating from custom pixel events will now pass the page URL instead of the custom pixel iframe URL. This enables destinations like Klaviyo to use the URL, allowing customers to return directly to the checkout they created on their previous visit.

Monitoring Tags Removal:

  • Monitoring tags have been removed from pre-built destination containers to improve performance for all destinations. Previously, in-app reporting was sunset in favor of console-only monitoring messages. Due to limited use, we've reduced the complexity of our GTM pre-built tags.
    • To update your tags, access each destination and re-import the web containers for the latest updates. Once complete, delete any unused variables and monitoring tags.

Sources

Consent Provider Guide:

  • The consent provider listing has been consolidated into a guide instead of listing individual platforms in-app. You can view the compatible consent providers guide here.

Platform

Dashboard Refreshed:

  • We've updated the Elevar app dashboard to provide a more streamlined user experience. Upon landing, relevant data is now front and center, allowing you to easily review your server-side destination performance and quickly assess the performance of popular destinations.

Reporting

New Features:

  • Custom Data Selection: In addition to the existing 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, custom data selection has been added for more flexibility in reporting.
  • Time Zone Selection: The new default time zone is now set to your store's time zone. You can change this to your system location time zone in your account settings if preferred.
  • Discontinued Alerts: The "No Shopify Orders in the Past 2 Hours" alert has been discontinued.
